Our Promise

When a pipe bursts at 2 AM, you don't have time to compare quotes. You need a licensed plumber who answers the phone, dispatches a stocked truck, and arrives fast enough to keep damage from compounding. That's what we do — across 16 South Bay cities, 24 hours a day, with a 60-minute target response we actually hit.

Mainline No-Dig Trenchless Plumbing has been the South Bay's go-to emergency plumber for 18+ years. We don't farm after-hours work to junior subcontractors. The same licensed C-36 (#901735) crew that handles trenchless sewer work and tankless conversions during the day rotates through emergency dispatch overnight. You get full-stack expertise, not a triage team that has to call someone else for the actual repair.

And we don't charge overtime. Ever. The reason is simple: emergencies don't pick business hours, and we don't think you should be penalized for needing help when you need help. Our standard rates apply at 3 AM Tuesday and 2 PM Saturday alike. Call (310) 808-7343 — a real human picks up.

WHY MAINLINE

Why South Bay Homeowners Call Us First in Emergencies

Three things separate a real emergency plumber from one that just says they're 24/7. We do all three.

60-Minute Target Response

Average response across the South Bay is 25–55 minutes from your call to a truck arriving. Lomita is fastest because that's our HQ. Even Long Beach and Inglewood — our furthest service points — typically hit under 60 minutes.

No Overtime Fees, Ever

Standard flat-rate pricing 24/7. Weekends, holidays, 3 AM — same rates. No call-out fees beyond our $89 trip charge, which is fully credited if you proceed with repair.

Stocked Truck on Every Dispatch

Our trucks carry the parts to fix the most common emergencies on the first visit — burst supply lines, water heater failures, sewer backups, gas leaks. We don't show up, diagnose, then leave to get parts and bill you twice.

Licensed C-36 Plumber, Not a Helper

Every emergency dispatch is a licensed plumber, not a junior tech. Same crew that handles trenchless and tankless during the day. Real qualifications matter when the situation is time-pressured.

Direct Line to Dispatch

Call (310) 808-7343 and a human answers — not an answering service that takes a message. We tell you the truck's actual ETA, not a vague 'soon.'

Insurance Documentation Included

We document every emergency repair with photos, scope notes, and itemized invoicing — exactly what your insurance carrier needs for a flood-damage claim. No follow-up paperwork hassles.

OUR PROCESS

How a South Bay Emergency Call Actually Works

The four steps from phone call to permanent repair.

Step 1

Phone Triage

Our dispatcher determines whether the situation is a true emergency or can be safely scheduled. While the truck rolls, we walk you through immediate steps — main shutoff location, gas safety, damage containment.

Step 2

Dispatch & Arrival

Licensed technician dispatched with a fully-stocked truck. Real ETA, not a vague window. Most South Bay calls hit under 60 minutes from call to truck on-site.

Step 3

Stop the Loss

First priority is always stopping active damage — isolating the break, capping the leak, clearing the blockage. Photo documentation throughout for insurance.

Step 4

Permanent Fix

Once contained, we assess the permanent repair scope and quote. You decide whether to proceed immediately or schedule. Either way, the immediate emergency is contained.

QUESTIONS

Common Questions

Do you really charge no overtime fees, even at 3 AM on Sunday?

Yes — our standard rates apply 24/7, including weekends and holidays. The reason is simple: emergencies don't pick business hours, and we don't think you should be penalized for calling when you need help. The only fee outside the repair itself is our $89 trip charge, which is fully credited if you proceed with the work.

What's your actual response time at 2 AM in Manhattan Beach?

Typically 35–45 minutes from your call to a truck arriving in Manhattan Beach overnight. Our Lomita HQ is roughly 12 miles away and there's no traffic at 2 AM. For Long Beach (our furthest point), expect closer to 50–65 minutes overnight. We tell you the actual ETA when the truck rolls — not a vague 'soon.'

What counts as a real plumbing emergency vs. something that can wait?

Real emergencies: burst pipe with active flooding, gas leak (call SoCalGas first at 1-800-427-2200), sewer backup into living space, slab leak with audible running water, no hot water below 50°F outside in winter. Things that can usually wait until morning: slow drain, leaky fixture, dripping faucet, low pressure complaints. Honest triage saves money for everyone.

What should I do before the plumber arrives if I have a burst pipe?

Shut off your main water supply at the meter (usually a brass valve at the front of the house or near the sidewalk). Turn off the water heater (gas valve or breaker). Open a few faucets to relieve pressure. Move valuables away from the active leak. Our dispatcher will walk you through this on the call if needed.

Do you handle commercial emergencies too — restaurants, multifamily, retail?

Yes. Commercial work requires the same licensed C-36 dispatch, scaled for higher-flow systems and code-compliant documentation. We handle restaurant TI emergencies, multifamily building water-main breaks, retail and light industrial issues across the South Bay.

Can you reach me on the Palos Verdes Peninsula or in Rolling Hills Estates?

Yes, both — they're inside our standard service area. Response times to PV / RHE typically run 35–50 minutes from our Lomita HQ given the hillside terrain. Hillside emergency work is its own discipline; our crew is set up for it.

Will my homeowner's insurance cover the emergency repair cost?

Most policies cover sudden-and-accidental water damage but not the plumbing repair itself. We provide full photo documentation and itemized invoicing for every emergency, exactly what your carrier needs to process a damage claim. We can also coordinate directly with your adjuster if you'd like.
