Non-Invasive Trenchless Technology.
Preserving your landscape with advanced subterranean solutions. A 50-year infrastructure fix, installed in a single day.
Trenchless sewer repair restores or replaces a damaged sewer line through small access points instead of an open trench. Mainline uses pipe bursting for collapsed or badly damaged pipe and CIPP lining for structurally sound lines with cracks or root intrusion, protecting South Bay driveways, mature landscaping, patios, and finished yards.
Trenchless vs. open-cut sewer repair costs
| Option | Typical South Bay cost | Expected life | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| CIPP lining | $80–$250 per ft; $4,500–$15,000 typical lateral | 50+ years | A host pipe that still holds its shape but has cracks, leaking joints, or minor root intrusion |
| Pipe bursting | $100–$300 per ft; $6,500–$22,000 typical lateral | 50+ years | Collapsed, badly offset, undersized, Orangeburg, clay, or heavily root-damaged pipe |
| Open-cut excavation | $60–$150 per ft before restoration; restoration can add $10,000–$40,000+ | Depends on replacement material | Short, shallow runs through bare soil with little or no surface restoration |
Planning ranges from current South Bay project data; exact pricing requires a camera inspection, surface locate, access review, and permit check. Open-cut restoration varies widely by the surfaces removed.
The word "trenchless" trips people up, so here is the plain-English version. A traditional sewer replacement digs a trench — a long, open cut that runs the entire length of the pipe, straight across your lawn, through your driveway, and past whatever landscaping is in the way. Trenchless pipe replacement reaches the exact same end result, a brand-new sewer line, but instead of a trench we dig a hole. Usually one or two small access points. The old pipe underground between those points is replaced without ever opening the ground above it, which is why your yard survives the job.

First we find it — exactly
- Yellow-handle locator
- Line + depth marked
- Before any shovel
Before we break ground, the locator finds the pipe and the failure point from the surface. We mark it to the inch so the digging that follows is deliberate, not a guess.
That locate is the reason we don't tear up a whole yard. Once the yellow-handled locator has pinpointed the line and depth, we open one small, deliberate hole right where the work actually has to happen — not a wide exploratory pit, and never a trench running the length of the property. Across Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and Hermosa Beach, minimizing the dig is the entire discipline: the less we open, the less there is to put back.

One deliberate hole, not a trench
- Compact access pit
- Old pipe exposed
- Rest of the line untouched
This is the whole excavation — one small pit over the exact spot the locate marked. Everything on either side of it stays buried and intact.
We also treat the property like it's our own. Before the dig, tarps and protective board go down over the driveway, sidewalk, and surrounding surfaces; excavated soil lands on the tarp instead of your concrete, and we work only the footprint we actually need. Anything outside that footprint — the turf, the hardscape, the irrigation, the mature trees — never gets touched in the first place.

We protect what we're not digging
- Tarps + surface protection
- Spoil kept off concrete
- Only the needed footprint
Surface protection goes down before the first shovelful. The goal is simple: the only thing that changes on your property is the pipe underground.
When the new line is in and the camera confirms full flow, we backfill the access holes, reset the surface, and put the landscaping back. Sod and grass lift and replace, pavers reset, concrete cuts patched — done right, you genuinely cannot tell we were there. That is the whole promise of the Property-Friendly Plumber™: a 50-year fix underground, and a yard that looks untouched above it.

Looks like nothing happened
- Turf back in place
- Driveway intact
- 50-year line below
The end result on a real South Bay job: intact turf, an undisturbed driveway, and a brand-new sewer line running underneath it that will outlast the house's next owners.

Our Process
How It Works
Video Inspection
We deploy a high-definition camera to assess the full extent of pipe damage before any work begins.
Access Point Excavation
Two small access pits are dug — one at each end of the damaged line. No lawn destruction, no concrete demolition.
HDPE Pipe Pull-Through
A hydraulic bursting head fractures the old pipe outward while simultaneously pulling the new HDPE line into place.
Verification & Restoration
A final camera pass confirms full flow capacity. Access pits are backfilled and the surface is restored.
