Expert Plumbing Services
Garbage Disposal Repair & Installation.
About This Service
Jams, leaks, hums, and full replacements for every brand. Same-day service with replacement units stocked on the truck.
Garbage disposal work breaks down into four scenarios. The unit hums but doesn't spin (almost always a jam — a hex key on the underside frees it). The unit leaks (usually the dishwasher inlet or the discharge tube; sometimes the housing itself, which means replacement). The unit is dead (failed motor or tripped reset; we test which). The unit is just old and you want a quieter, more powerful upgrade. We service every brand — InSinkErator, Waste King, Moen, KitchenAid — and stock replacement units on the truck so we can usually finish in a single visit.
Most diagnostic-only calls turn into a same-visit fix. Jams clear in minutes with a proper disposal wrench through the bottom port. Dishwasher inlet leaks are a $25 hose clamp. Discharge tube leaks are a flange and gasket. Even a tripped reset (the small red button on the bottom of the unit) is sometimes the entire fix — we always check that first. The decision tree from there: under-8-years-old unit gets repaired; over-10-years-old unit usually gets replaced because the rest of the components are at or past their service life.
Replacement units we carry on the truck are quiet 3/4 HP modern equivalents — typically InSinkErator Evolution, Badger 5XP, or Waste King L-series — installed for $385-$565 fully loaded with mounting flange replacement, dishwasher inlet plumbing, discharge plumbing, and full leak testing. The 7-10 year warranty on those units is twice what entry-level 1/3 HP disposals come with, which is why we don't carry the cheap units at all.

Step by Step
How It Works
Diagnose
Hum-no-spin means jam (cheap fix). Dead-silent means power or motor (medium fix). Active leak means seal or housing (often replacement).
Clear or Repair
Jams clear with a proper disposal wrench. Dishwasher inlet leaks are a clamp. Discharge tube leaks are a flange and gasket. Most calls fix same-visit.
Replace When Right
Failed motors, cracked housings, or 10+ year units we replace rather than repair. InSinkErator Evolution, Badger 5XP, Waste King L-series stocked on the truck.
Plumb and Test
Mounting flange replacement, dishwasher inlet, discharge plumbing into the trap. Full leak testing under load before we leave.
